1. Scope of Warranty
SMILETECH Group provides warranties covering:
- Solar panels
- Inverters and charge controllers
- Batteries and energy storage systems
- Solar water pumps and related equipment
- Installation workmanship
2. Equipment Manufacturer Warranties
Most solar equipment supplied by SMILETECH Group carries a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty periods vary by product and brand and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Typical manufacturer warranty ranges include:
- Solar panels: 10–12 years product warranty and up to 25 years performance warranty
- Inverters: 2–10 years depending on model and manufacturer
- Batteries: 2–10 years depending on battery type and usage conditions
3. Workmanship Warranty
SMILETECH Group provides a workmanship warranty covering installation-related defects for a period specified in the project agreement, starting from the date of system commissioning.
4. Warranty Conditions
Warranty coverage is subject to the following conditions:
- The system must be installed and commissioned bySMILETECH Group or an authorized installer
- The system must be used according to provided operating guidelines
- Only authorized personnel may carry out maintenance or repairs
- Recommended maintenance schedules must be followed
5. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper operation
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Damage due to accidents, fire, flooding, lightning, or other natural disasters
- Damage caused by grid instability or external electrical faults
6. Performance Disclaimer
Solar energy production and system performance depend on factors such as sunlight availability, weather conditions, load usage, and maintenance.SMILETECH Group does not guarantee specific energy output levels unless explicitly stated in a written agreement.
7. Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim, clients must:
- Notify SMILETECH Group in writing as soon as a fault is detected
- Provide proof of purchase or contract reference
- Allow access for inspection and diagnosis
SMILETECH Group will assess the claim and determine whether repair, replacement, or referral to the manufacturer is appropriate.
8. Repair or Replacement
If a valid warranty claim is approved, SMILETECH Group will, at its discretion:
- Repair the defective component, or
- Replace the component with an equivalent or improved product
9. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMILETECH Group’s liability under this Warranty Policy is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10. Transferability
Unless otherwise stated in writing, warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser and installation location.
11. Governing Law
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by the laws applicable in Cameroon, without prejudice to regional or international legal principles where applicable.
